Amazing video! My local Skydiving Center still has their Cessna 182A and B Skylanes in use, but they mostly use the Cessna 208B Grand Caravan.

I worked with Steve at the shows back in ‘03 - ‘04 and made sure we had plenty of fire extinguishers ready at the end of the show in case there were any rogue sparks in the cockpit. 😅. We didn’t have cell phones to take video when I was with him so I didn’t get any footage. Too bad, I recently heard he passed a few years ago.

While visually impressive and loud...the reason this bird needs afterburners is because the engines needed to be shoehorned into relatively small nacelles. Otherwise the main gear wouldn't fit which needed to be big to carry the loads.
